the project//
Arntreal is an independant clothing brand that uses augmented reality and in-app rewards to provide a gamefied experience to their customers. With each new piece of clothing comes a new set of skins. These skins are 3D objects that are supposed to highlight each garment when you record someone wearing them. I worked for them as a 3D Generalist intern for 2 months
the mission//
My job was to create some of these skins entierely. From 2D concepts to 3D animations. I modeled each one of them in Blender, textured in Substance Painter, then rigged and animated them back in Blender.
what I learned//
I only had limited time to produce each asset, so I had to make each move count and not to waste time on smaller details. It was very interesting and inspiring working toward a standard that wasn't one I had decided of. Overrall, I think this experience took my ability to create assets fast to a new level, with each skins taking me between 3 and 5 days of work, from concept to animation.
hero//
The highest level of skin in a collection is called a Hero. it's a creature that flies around the user and has fire breath. I had the opportunity to make one. This was made in 4 days of work, from concept to animation.
